With great shows such as We Will Rock You, Billy Elliot the Musical and Mamma Mia!, it is no wonder that audiences from around the world flock to the theatres of London’s West End each year. The numbers rise annually, regularly breaking records and hitting the tens of millions in terms of attendance. It is a cultural phenomenon that is showing no signs of slowing down.

One only has to look at how far back people have been enjoying these great venues to see that it will always be popular; many of the theatres have existed since the Victorian Times, others from before that. Then there are the plays, which include the long running Agatha Christie’s Mousetrap, as well as The Woman in Black, Three Days of Rain and Shakespearean classics such as Hamlet, All’s Well That Ends Well, Twelfth Night, Romeo & Juliet and more. There is so much on offer, it would be impossible to list them all.
